First trip report

Well we got back Thursday from our first ever trip with a travel trailer. We stayed at a park on Galveston Island in a town called Jamaica Beach. It was more fun then I ever expected. The trailer worked flawlessly except for the leak at the hot water connector at the kitchen sink that came back. I thought I had it fixed. You can tighten it and it goes away for 12 hours and then starts leaking again. Any suggestions are welcome on how to get a permanent fix for this.

We parked next to a couple from Wisconsin who had just spent 3 months down in Mission, Texas. They were on their way back home but decided to stay here for three weeks first. They were super nice and helpful to us newbies.

This place has its own Hunt Brothers Pizza on site and they deliver phone orders right to your trailer. The pizza was delicious. Just down the road is a seafood restaurant that does take out orders and the food there is also delicious.

New Braunfels Campgrounds

Does anyone know of a good rv park in the new braunfels/canyon lake area. When you pull up the parks on trip advisor and other reviewers sites there is not much feed back from people how they liked or disliked a park. I need to visit my Mom and would like to find a nice park to stay at.

We stayed at that park while on a kayak trip 2 Decembers ago. Nice place.

Trying some surf fishing with artificial lures. Had 0 bites. A lady down the beach was using live shrimp and was pulling them in as fast as she could throw the bait out.

Anytime anyone goes to that area of the hill country I have to advise that if they can the make a trip to Enchanted Rock. Very cool hike up a very cool big rock and they even allow dogs.

Congrats on a successful first outing. The first one is always nerve racking. Wait until you see how relaxed the next outing is.
