Picking out good camping chairs

It seems like every year we buy new camping chairs because after being stored away, they rot and break apart the moment you sit in them. I've been searching online and the only chairs I can find on Amazon that are not expensive, and have really good reviews, and cool features I've never seen are these:

Does anyone have any experience with this chair? It has a built-in drink holder, and rear shocks on the back to cushion your movements.

Just spray a little WD-40 on the tops of the rods and all moving parts.

No. The $7.88 chair is NOT the same. I've had those. The frames are weak and don't hold up to frequent use. The fabric frays quickly.

It has nothing to do with Amazon and everything to do with build quality of the Coleman chair.

And for the record, WM sells the actual Coleman chair for $44.99 - $9 more than Amazon.

I have these Coleman Quad Chairs

I stopped buying recliners, rockers, etc for camping because they were pains to store. The quad chairs fold down and store in my outdoor cabinet at home and can easily get tossed in the back of the suv for trips. I buy the Coleman because they are sturdier than the cheap no name ones.

Basically the same chair (Ozark Trail brand) is currently on sale at WM for $7.88. Take off the Coleman name, don't be fooled thinking you're getting the best price on ANYTHING by buying through Amazon, and your mission will be accomplished for a fraction of the cost.

Have had 2 of those for at least 4 years and still look like new. Love the fact they are rockers

I've got two of those - at least ones that are almost identical. Bought them about three years ago from Academy sports. Still in perfect shape.

Our camping buddies also have them. We all love them.

Im with Jim - not sure what is happening to your chairs or why. I've never had issues with my chairs rotting from storage.

I have no idea what chairs are falling apart or how you store them that might cause rotting/deterioration.

I have simple, old fashioned lightweight aluminum/web chairs that typically last 5 plus years. After 5 years I re-web them. My original set is on the 3rd set of webs. I like them because they are very light weight. I leave them outside and travel with them on a ladder bracket. After being rained on, they dry almost immediately.

The canvas chairs are heavier, collect dirt and don't dry quickly.
