Smoke Alarm

First trip out this year and I'm hearing a "chirping" noise. Fortunately there was enough power in the 9V battery to "chirp."

I carry AA and AAA batteries, but not a 9V.

Check your battery and make sure you're protected.

I got one of those for $25; heck of a good deal over the ten years.

I'll follow the same battery schedule as I did for buildings I managed. All supers were required to give a battery status report every Memorial and Labor Days and a memo was sent to all residents advising them to check their unit's smoke/CO2 detectors at the same time; simplified all our lives.

Yup. Part of my pre-trip routine is to check the detectors.

For what it's worth, many of the current smoke detectors use AA batteries.
