Um, more on generators?

I read the closed forum on generators and learned a lot, everyone seems to like champion. I had done some reading and found solar panels are often used to keep the battery charged, and I found a solar generator that can store power so I wondered why not use one for keeping stuff running quietly. Has anyone had any experience with solar generators in their RV's?

LOL I'd leave the solar generating to the sun...kidding wit u of course.

Cindi I'd go camping in the RV once or twice before getting confused about buying an add-on AC power source.

The DW, dawgs and I trailered for almost 2 years in NFS or state park areas before eventually getting a small generator.

My advice to you:
Don't buy everything until your convinced it will enhance the experience 🙂

Can you tell us more about the 'solar generator' (make, model, web site...)?

A so called 'solar generator' is simply a solar panel, inverter, and battery combined for a ridiculous price. Stay away.

Everything you need to know is on the forum, sit back, and plan on many hours of reading, there are no new questions.

Solar generator? What a gimmick!

Before you do anything you need to figure out how many watts you truly need. With out knowing how many watts you truly need it's hard to help someone.

From what I understand about solar generators it's a battery and an inverter with a high price tag. I forgot there set up for solar to help mess with people. The few that I have read put out very little power.

Why not go with solar on the trailer, upgrade your batteries, and install an inverter. If the system is not sized properly you will end up having to use a generator.
