Anyone tow a 1500?

Ok... might be a dumb question here. We have a 2004 1500 Silverado RWD. Is it possible to tow this with a gas Class A? No we don't have the RV yet. We have only the truck and are just asking questions. IF it can be towed... would we need some kind of trailer? Front tire dolly? Or flat tow?

thanks

Have a friend who tows a 2012 or 2013 Chevy 3/4T diesel 4X4 auto with an 8' bed so he can put his RAZR up on top. Works fine for him. It's a big DP with lots of HP, a 10,000# hitch and a brake on the truck.

Nodwell RN110 out moose hunting. 4-53 Detroit, Clark 5 spd, 40" wide tracks, 10:00x20 tires, 16,000# capacity, 22,000# weight. You know the mud is getting deep when it's coming in the doors.

Check your owners manual and see if the 1500 can be flat towed.
If it has an automatic transmission, I doubt it can be flat towed.
If it has a manual transmission, it probably can be towed. But, you need to check the owners manual.

Also, how much does it weigh? I believe most gas Class A units have a towing capacity of 5000 lbs..
Our 96 Southwind has a towing capacity of only 3500 lbs..
