I 2nd the above comments on keeping information on great fishing spots off the Internet.

In my opinion the Internet has ruined a whole lot of places to go and things to see in North America for an RV'er. It's done the same thing to world travel in general.

In addition to general camping and fishing, the DW and myself fortunately also have a somewhat obscure hobby that requires us to use other means for locating and enjoying places in our RV that are usually not discoverable using the information grid.

- Go to a place known for fly fishing. (Easy to do.)
- Find a campsite for the first night. Any campsite will work.
- Wander into an outfitter in town, buy a few flies, and strike up a conversation. Nobody is going to tell you their favorite campsite or fishing hole. But they'll clue you in to good spots.
- This part is key... Enjoy your time, and keep your mouth shut! Do not broadcast the specific great campsite or the specific amazing fishing hole all over the web. Leave some fun and adventure for everybody else.

The best APPs is the Internet and word of mouth and some research. Don't go snowflake on is and expect the googler to spit out the info with one, one word search.
Look at fly fishing outfitters and see what creeks or rivers they are on and then look for campgrounds nearby.
Trust me, you can "steal" some great fishing for free where outfitters charge big bucks. Waters of a state are public property!
I'm sure there's a million unheard of fishing holes that you'll never find on the googler, only experience or word of mouth will get you there, but there are MANY places that are published.
Depends where you're looking but I can tell you a few in CO and MT if you PM me!

Just wondering if you have thought about it at all.

On such a public website if someone posts the best places to camp and fish, how long will it take until they quickly become the most crowded places to camp and fish.

My suggestion would be to go to a town you are interested in, spend about $100 in an outdoor store on their suggestions for local sites and fishing gear you might need, and enjoy yourself without telling the world.
