Blue Ox Alpha tow bar to Demco base plate?

Hello,

I plan on pulling a Dodge Dakota behind our motor home this summer. I have a Blue Ox Alpha tow bar, and will be installing a Demco base plate on the Dakota (my dakota has an auxiliary transmission oil cooler that would interfere with the available Blue Ox base plate, hence the reason for using the Demco that won't have interference issues). I have searched extensively but have not been able to find if I will need adapters to connect the Alpha tow bar to the Demco base plate. There are adapters for the Blue Ox Aventa style tow bars, but nothing about the Alpha bar. I did find one post that said adapters were not needed for the Blue Ox to Demco connection, but they did not state what style of bar or what vehicle. I will make it work either way, even if I have to have a custom adapter fabricated, but I'm hoping it wont be necessary. If anyone has any knowledge or experience with this combo, any response or information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Thank you for the response. I am hoping I will be able to make it work without any major adapters as well.

I have been using a Demco base plate on my Dodge Caravan with a Blue Ox tow bar. They both have a 3 lug conecter but there was a little interferance as the tow bar angled up. I just ground off till I had a range of travel I needed. I have used this for 13 years now.
