Ft. Clark Springs is built on the old fort clark grounds and springs. Historical buildings, big old trees and the water in a nice old swimming pool.
The town of Bracketville sits across the road and is a dinky little town full of nice folks. No big stores. A couple of cafes and gas stations, church, post office etc. An old movie set nearby where they made the John Wayne Alamo movie plus several other westerns.
35 miles east from Del Rio where you will find all the big stores plus Mexico.
35/40 miles the other way is Uvalde, also with big stores.
If you want peace and quiet and laid back, you'll find it there.
