Good Diesel Service in Greater Seattle Area

From DH:

Replaced the OEM radiator in my 2007 6.0 Powerstroke diesel because of unrepairable leaks around the fittings on the bottom header tank where the transmission cooler lines enter. The replacement is an aftermarket radiator that is all aluminum, no plastic header tanks. This supposed to be a permanent fix for the leaking O-ring seals in the stock plastic tank. The radiators are common for the pickup trucks, but was a special order for the E-series chassis. Note: the pickup rad will NOT fit.

Steve has a somewhat grubby shop, in an out-of-the-way location on the outskirts of Monroe, WA. What you get is professional, knowledgeable repair work at a very reasonable price. I set up the appointment a week ahead. Steve had the new radiator waiting and in two and a half hours the job was done, leak checked, transmission topped up and ready to go for our summer trips. The cost was $300 less than the nearest quote I had, and about half the Ford dealer price which was for another stock radiator.

Steve is a Powerstroke specialist and offers all manner of upgrades for these engines. He also does other light diesels, like Cummins. I have no financial interest in this little report, just thought Iโ€™d pass it along.

If you go there, get explicit directions. Google doesn't tell you that he's all the way at the top of the hill up a windy road, and his road isn't well marked. DH says it is fairly easy to find, but you have to have confidence to keep going.

Oh, he can. I guess DH forgot to say it was our 31' Coachmen Freelander that he worked on.
