I bought WD parts used. It is the style that hangs from chains. I do not know brand, but the spring bar is stamped with 22210-G and on the other side 750.

They are pretty stout.

I am not sure if it is rated for 10,000 or 8,000. I am doubting it is for less.
The trailer is much less in weight, but it works.

If you have some with numbers maybe yours are similar and that will be a good start.

Thanks Fisherman.

Yes, it does matter. A softer spring is typically used on a lighter trailer. A softer spring will bend much farther than a stiff spring. A heavy trailer will have a heavier frame than a light trailer. A heavier frame (stout) will handle the higher spring rate of a stiffer spring before bending. Heavy spring on a light trailer frame is higher chance of bending or damaging the frame. Yes, it does matter.

If it works and your public scale weights are within limits/shifting back to the front TV axle etc., does it matter?
