Hi all,

I have just bought an '02 Wrangler Sport. I am looking at installing a towing arrangement on the front bumper. The question I have, has anyone ever used a Curt Tow Bar Safety Chain Bracket on their vehicle?

I have a tow bar from my Bronco II. The above mentioned part/s would work with the installation.

For information the '02 has a warn bumper installed with a winch. I believe this installation is strong enough support the towing.

Any help is appreciated.

Are you talking about using the Curt Brackets to attach your tow bar to the bumper?
My only suggestion would be to make sure bumper is beefed-up with back-up plates etc.
I've got mine attached to my bumper/front receiver.
I added a bent steel plate over the top and backed-up with steel inside bumper. Just make sure it is all set-up "heavy-duty", with high quality bolts, use red loc-tite, & check everything every time you use it! :C
I used the Blue-Ox adapter tabs:

Thanks for the input. The bracket I am considering is similar to a Blue Ox part.

I tow an 08 JK with an aftermarket bumper. I added fabricated brackets but they bolt through the bumper into the frame of the jeep. Anything less would concern me.

I don't know what the Curt Towbar Safety Chain Bracket is, but I towed several Jeeps with a Reese fixed arm adjustable width towbar, using the original equipment Reese towbar brackets bolted to the bumper. I did this with both the stock bumpers (with reinforcing plates behind the bumper) and various custom bumpers.
I see no reason why it won't work for you.
However, I do recommend that you have the safety chains attached to the Jeep frame horns instead of to the bumper bolts.
