Going from a 2010. to. 2017 Ford fusion. on a Master two with tire. Straps to a swivel plate. I use to put chains on front axle, but the 2017 is all covered under front end? Any one towing a Fusion around this model. Or know how the Fusion fits on the dolly.

Rob, Since the VW is quite low, I raised the tongue of the dolly to the maximum recommended by Demco. An inch results in quite a change at the end of the ramps! The ramps still touched the car in some situations but, never enough to produce damage. This usually only happens entering or exiting service stations. When I suspect the ramps will hit, I move very slowly so as to minimize the impact.
On my Rav all the front is plastic , so there was a hole about 6in wide so I ran a steel cable around and down and just run chains through it. Only problem is people keep asking what's hanging down from the front of my car.
FunTwoDrv, That sounds like a good Idea, and not having to remove the under covering, one other problem is the sometimes the plate bends up entering diveways and connects with the underside of the car. (the old car) plus the new car is about an inch lower. I was thinking of bolting 2X10" 's on the car plate with something that's anti skid on to raise the car up. I'm going to work on it if it ever gets a little warmer here. Thanks Rob.

We had a similar issue with our VW on the Demco. I could lay on the ground and thread the safety chains over the lower control arm...but, that was a real PITA. Someone here suggested threading them through the wheels. Got a little longer chains and covered them with padding and easily pushed them through the wheels! Problem solved.
Yes, I've hooked the dolly up to MH, going to try a fit with the car, want to make sure car does not hit fenders on dolly, all the motor and dri ve train has a cover that also covers steering and control arms. May have to take cover off?
