Roadmaster Sterling to Blue Ox Faceplate

I have a Blue Ox faceplate enroute to fit my new Subaru Crosstrek. Its the one that has the hidden mounting points in the grill. The Lexington we just bought came with a Roadmaster Sterling hitch setup. The Sterling has a bar that attaches to their faceplate, and was set up for a Honda CRV, and the hitch attaches to that bar (came with the motorhome also)
On the Blue Ox web site I see the their hitch mounts directly to the hidden faceplate, with no bar.
Both Roadmaster and Blue Ox have adapters to change the hitch end to fit the Blue Ox pins. Does this mean I'll no longer have to use the crossbar that came with the Sterling. Can I just change the end's of the Sterling with the adapters, and attach the ends directly to the hidden Blue Ox mount?
Just trying to get a line on what I'll need, and half the info I'm seeing is on web sites via their photos. It appears that it's just a stright nut n bolt swap. My only concern is the Sterling crossbar. Do I need it or no?

Thank's Janss. Just the info I was looking for...someone else with the same hook-up. Just trying to get all the little problems out of the way.

I had the same situation. I have a Sterling All-Terrain towbar that I used with crossbar on my old Chevy Tracker with Roadmaster baseplate. Then I bought a slightly used new to me tow car that already had a Blue Ox baseplate installed.

Yes, I ditched the crossbar and just swapped out the ends of the Sterling towbar with adapter ends that would match the Blue Ox connections on the car.
