The implication is however, that if you move rapidly to EV’s, while at the same time removing fossil and nuclear fuels for power generation, have not built out the grid and infrastructure to support the increased demand for electricity from all sources, you have created a path to severe pain for your citizens.

At least California is in a fix about a lack of housing and electric power. The mandate that those new homes be all electric, and for cars coming soon, will cause power havoc.

Despite the implication it’s not really an issue due to charging EVs; it’s a grid issue highlighted by any additional draw (new houses, greater AC use during higher temps, reduced generation, charging EVs, new Casinos etc). While I read comments about not increasing EV charging I don’t read comments about not adding new houses to the grid.
