Im helping a friend set up his new rig and the subject of what tools to carry has arisen.

The question is to bring SAE fractional wrenches or sockets, or is everything now metric ?

This will be a small to middlin' tool set just for minor repairs and maintenance issues, nothing big and heavy and complicated.

Thanks!

Have him check the lug size. He'll want a lug wrench that works. Also, electrical repair stuff, plumbing stuff, and typical household tools. If the RV he has is put together with factory assembly fasteners that have a rare head (Clutch drive, for example),he'll want a couple of bits that fit. You can carry everything but the weight and storage can be a pain. I tend to carry too much stuff but a lot of it sits in the truck.

As much as I hated them when I was working as a mechanic, I now find that the adjustable tools can be used for 95% of the repairs I usually NEED to do.
Yes I mean Crescent wrenches, adjustable pliers, etc. I still carry a decent selection of sockets, wrenches (Harbor Freight), and screw drivers (Klein or Craftsman).

Makes no difference what tools you bring.. You will always always need the one you left at home. LOL
