Towing an EV

I'm curious as to why an EV, such as a Tesla or other EVs can't be towed 4 down. I can't imagine that electrical issues couldn't be defeated.
Of course there would be the base plate issue but that's another discussion.

afaik a Rivian can be flat towed.

They can as shown by many on you tube. :). The manufacturers however say no though and they are the warranty providers so they kinda win. :).

We towed an EV on a trailer behind our pusher for 5 years. Now we reversed it. Our EV is our tow vehicle and we pull a trailer. :).

They can on a trailer. At this stage of EV development why would manufacturers be concerned with towing an EV? Also consider where an EV’s “motors” are located.
