hi just getting back into the a class A . went from an 05 Providence 39s to a Forest river 30ft class C .Just never warmed up to it . Traded it in for a 2021 Forest River Georgetown 39 ft G5 . Wondering what is a good toad /dinghy. was thinking maybe a jeep wrangler or maybe a beetle , or even a mini cooper? would love to find one all set up for use with my blue ox tow bar, but just cant seem to fiqure out where to look for ones ready to go. Its really only gonna be used for towing, so not looking to spend a million bucks . im located in mass , but willing to travel to find something ready to go . any help /advice would be appreciated . thanks dan

We just switched from 5er to class A. I ended up getting a Hummer H3 to tow. It was very easy to set up as the base plates took the place of the front tow hooks. The wiring kit for the lights was easy too. I installed them both in a little over an hour. I'm going to use the Ready Brute Elite II tow bar. When looking at H3's, I was amazed at what I could get for the money. I'm driving the H3 back and forth to work and got 16.5 mpg out of the first two tanks. It rides pretty good too.

Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee 4WD. Factory setup for towing, just be sure you get the correct transmission with neutral switch button.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

As another poster mentioned, a Jeep Wrangler is an excellent toad, and one of few vehicles manufactured that's "made for the job" of being a toad, however, be sure you like the climb-in/climb-out access, and also be sure you're satisfied with the ride quality. As a senior with minor mobility issues, it would never work for me. Just be sure to do your due diligence, whatever you decide upon.

To me would be a vehicle with the proven reliability for 4-down towing is the only choice. Many people have nightmare stories of manufacturers claiming their vehicle can be safely towed 4-down only to be faced with multiple transmission failures. After market add-ons like transmission pumps and driveshaft disconnects only complicate the issue. Get a vehicle that can be towed 4-down with no mileage, speed restrictions, or song and dance routines requirements every so many miles.

The question is, what do you want to drive when you reach your destination? I'm towing a Miata and before that it was a Toyota MR2 so having a sports car is important to me. Do you want a truck or a Jeep or ????? Many choices, Bob

Smart car. If you can find one. Can be towed 4 down and is very light weight.

Honda CRV. Up to 2014. Tow great, lots of ground clearance. Mine has two full pages in the manual on how to flat tow safely.
