Hi all. Pigeon River Campground is a new campground located riverside next to our rafting outpost and just 45 minutes from Gatlinburg. The campground opened Spring 2015 and offers six camping cabins, 20 tent sites, 12 RV sites (water, electric, septic), pool, pavilion, riverside takeout, internet, laundry, store/office, and bathhouse. We are currently seeking an energetic and fun-loving workcamper couple to join our team for the 2016 season to assist in running the campground. Workcamper agreements run from April 1st to October 31st. We are ideally looking to develop a long-term relationship with our work campers, in which they return for many seasons and eventually take on management responsibilities. Duties include office hours, housekeeping, and light maintenance.

Responsibilities:
Managing the campground on Sunday and Monday including running the store/office, cleaning, and maintenance. Additionally, workcamper couples handle after-hour emergencies and are available for after-hour check-ins during the rest of the week.

In exchange for the above work, we offer:
Full hookup site with electric, water, and sewer
Free WiFi
Discount at the camp and outpost stores as well as the outpost grill
Free rafting
Discount admission to area attractions
Monetary compensation for any additional hours

If this sounds like the workcamper job for you, please forward your resume to susan@smokymountainrafting.com. Qualified candidates will be contacted by phone so please include contact information.

Wish I was retiring and could take advantage of this position! Sounds like a great opportunity to explore the Smokies. Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚
