Looking for a nice place to stop for one or two nights around Roanoke. Traveling from Pigeon Forge to Greenwood, Virginia. Pulling a 35' trailer would like full hook ups but not necessary.

Thank you for your input!!!!

ps.. remember a better option. We always stop at Fort Chiswell RV park at Wytheville VA From their website: "Fort Chiswell RV Park is conveniently located off of I-77 and I-81. Just 3/10 of a mile off interstate 81. Get off exit 80 and take 52 south look for the park on the left hand side. Easy in and easy out. Large pull thru sites with full hook ups (water, sewer, 50 amp electric, and cable tv) make it easy for any size motorhome to come in without unhooking."

Claytor Lake State Park is at Dublin VA about 50 miles south on I-81. Might be booked on weekends.

I would suggest changing your title, and asking about Roanoke. That's a good long way from the Smoky Mountains.

Try a Google search as well. There are several campgrounds listed around Roanoke.
