Well, you'll be glad to know the Opposuum is doing quite well. Heard a commotion on the rear porch. Opened the door and Dakota charged out. The Opposuum curled up even before Dakota got to him. He sniffed it and cam back inside.
The live trap, still had the cat food, in it but the critter, didn't even go into it.
It has some chestnut and black and white in its fur.
Quite pretty as far as opposuums go.
Didn't think about it, til now. I will get the long handled landing net out and catch him next time.
May not be legal to release him elsewhere though. Have to check on it.

LOL! Funny story about possums...my daughter called from California one night terrified there was a possum in the garage...now you know possums are more afraid of you than you should be of them, yell at em and they curl up. As long as they're not cornered you're ok. Anyway, she's screaming into the phone that this wild animal is in the garage. Trying to lighten up the situation, I tell her to get a large saucepan and a wooden spatula. Open the garage door and beat on the pan with the spoon. The possum will run away...What makes it funny is she did it and it worked..!!! She thinks her dad is a genius.....:B:B:B.....Dennis
