Lee & Grant's 1st Long Trip

My wife's Aunt and Uncle are selling their house in town and are moving full time to their beach house (early retirement). They are giving us their formal dining room set and her mom is giving us a set of twin beds. Our big holiday vacation is to drive from MD to SC (9hrs) on Saturday pick up and load a rental truck. Drive home Monday and unload and return the truck by Tuesday evening.

We made SC in good time. The pups did not scream or make a mess in their crate (both in the same crate) during the drive.

This is what our van looks like loaded with 8 crates.

This is how Lee and Grant look after their long drive (in order).

Ey-yi-yi! Sorry for all the ram drama going on at your place. Hopefully, with these new rams, things will settle down and they'll all get along. Males and their testosterone...

How old will the new rams have to be before they're ready to go into service?

Yesterday, they went for a 1hr drive (one way) when we drove to pick up a new ram for our flock. They got to ride home looking into the dog crate we used to transport on new ram lamb. Funny thing is they went to sleep and so did the ram.

We needed to buy a new ram because the problems this year just won't stop. We bought a new ram last year. Thursday I found him dead in the field from a head injury he likely got from one of the other rams he's been living with for over a year. We need new genetics so we had to replace him. We really need 3 rams for our size flock and since we're afraid to put the new ram with our older rams we will be replacing all of our rams this year. We'll be selling sheep so we can afford to buy the new rams.

Nice photos. Went camping this weekend and Andy jumped out of the truck's back seat when we got to our friend's home to camp. He loves traveling!

We have a couple that are not interested in traveling; they will avoid going in the van at home. Once on the road they settle down about going in the van.

Do they all get happy and eager when they know you are going on a trip?

I remember when I didn't have the camper, just a wooden cap with a back door which would raise. & I went back into the house to check everything. When I came back, 100 lb. Eiger, who had been leash to the truck and on the ground, had loaded himself. I figured he was eager for the camping trip.
