Adding a roof vent to a small area of the roof...

I actually built my RV from something else and have the roof entirely covered with solar with the exception of about a foot by 8 feet at the rear. I need to add some ventilation for sure and here's what I need:

1) Quality built.
2) Leak proof.
3) The ability to open and close it.

I'm thinking of one of these two:

Pop up 2 way vent

Mushroom style vent

Does anybody have any input, ideas or other vent styles that would fit my needs? I'm leaning towards the mushroom style for the ability to have it open even in the rain.

And Find a way to mount a high CFM 120 MM muffin fan to it.

Probably need two.

Yeah, I certainly have liked the design and such of the mushroom vents. With that one I can have it open in the rain, with the other I can direct air right into the cabin while driving, that makes it a tough choice for sure!

Can't get much better then a Fan-Tastic fan. Plus a great company to do business with.

Oh now, it's not nice to tease me with options that aren't options (:

I was thinking that but I can't use that in the rain which is discouraging. I would have to do 24v fans as I did a 24v system though I guess I could do two little 12v fans in series.

I believe the mushroom vent is to cap your plumbing vents. Not very big (4 inches)...Wont get much ventilation from that. The other vent loos interesting.
