Battery Box Options - Trojan SCS150

I recently purchased a 2007 Northwood Nash 22H and I need to replace the current single group 24 12v battery. After measuring my existing battery tray, I've determined that I cannot fit a pair of T-105 6v batteries due to the height. After much research I believe I've settled for a pair of Trojan SCS150 12v batteries. However, according to the specs on the Trojan website, this particular battery is 11.3" long. I cannot seem to find a compatible group 24 battery box that will accommodate this length. I cannot fit a group 27/31 battery box in this location either. For those of you that have, or have had, a Trojan SCS150, what do you use for a battery box?

Unfortunately, that box won't work either. It's only 21.5" long. These batteries are 11.30" long a piece.

You can cut the box shorter for your shorter batteries and that may help enough with clearance. Try a mockup with cardboard.

I've contemplated that one, but I fear that the square design still won't allow enough room. The front of the trailer is angled forward enough that I need the angled lid design that single battery boxes offer.

In addition, I have no room for a side-by-side battery orientation. If I were to find a dual battery box it would have to be in an end-to-end orientation and no greater than 25.5" long at the base.

I've already thought about trimming a GC-2 battery box, but I can't find one of those that will fit lengthwise either.

gc-2 batteries too tall to fit battery enclosure of OP's rig.

Group 24 do nearly have exact same footprint as GC-2.

If no dedicated group 24 box can be found, then a single GC-2, or perhaps even a double gc-2 battery box, can be trimmed to height with a straight edge and a razorknife to score it multiple times, or other various tools, to cut the plastic down to the correct height for 24's, or whatever the enclosure will allow.

Go back to the T105s. Noco sell a dual 6V vattery box on Amazon.
