Champion inverter 2000 watt on sale for 350

I see they have this on sale at home depot for 350 and thought I would post it if anyone was looking.

I didnt post anything to start any arguments about brands, I am a honda owner myself but know a lot of folks on these forums have very good experience with champions. I saw it at the store the other day and just thought I would post it to share with others in case they were interested.

Actually the newer model 100565, lower pic, has some improvements! Notice the parallel link covers, the more waterproof resets, and harder to see, the nice cover over the 120 outlet. Otherwise top 100306 model has only the led gauges, that may not be very accurate. For $150 less, I'd much rather have the lower pic model, which I did buy.

TSC has been selling a much downgraded version for $399 on line. It is even 8 lbs lighter than these two, which sounds great, but what is missing. See my pic of it, on my closed thread in the general forum.

FYI - Champion makes TWO different versions of their 2000w generator. This one does NOT have all the bells and whistles that the deluxe one has.

Moderators re only human and have prejudices as well. I get a lot of comments deleted, don't bother me, I carry on like nothing happened.

Now, I'm here to say that I bought a Honda Inverter way back when they first came out over a decade ago and I sold t last year because I was getting worried that the electronic components might fail from age.

Put it on Flea Bay and sold it in 2 days, took the proceeds and bought a Champion Inverter from Generators Direct and put the extra 150 bucks in the bank. Honda's hold their value but I'm very happy with the Champ. So happy, I bought another and the parallel kit as well.

Suggested Retail is $499.00 but they are heavily discounted if you look around. On the other hand, Honda's aren't. American Honda is very firm on their dealer pricing. If you have a franchise, you will sell at this price. However, that don't apply to motorcycles or ATV's for some reason.

Interesting. I wonder if the price varies by location. It is showing the price as a special buy at $399 in Elk River MN and says they have one left.

So it does... odd that the nearby Maple Grove store shows the $349 price. Might be an error of some sort--the regular prices shown do not match up either.

At least he didn't take the entire thread and pics, so I didn't completely waste my time trying to inform others, that may be interested.

What a Honda owner might think shouldn't matter. This forum isn't Honda sponsored. If what a certain group might think is the criteria for closing a thread then why not kill threads that mention a certain brand of truck or trailer?
