The new "world economy" will always be in the state of flux. Not too long ago, it was the Euro, today it's China, and tomorrow, it will be ???...

YOUR JOB

But that's just a blip, remember.

Collapse is coming, instead of buying gold or silver I stock up on RV parts.

Better stock up on Motorhome, and other RV magazines. 'Cause your DW will beat you to death if you take her camping in a rig that most everything malfunctions or doesn't start.

MADE IN USA

Sewer hose $300

Converter $600

Tires $400 ea.

Your handy-dandy Bluetooth $700 - $1500

The Technocrat Designed economy is so intertwined it isn't funny. Neither is finding out EXACTLY what the USA exports.

I hope this blows over. But THE FEAR has been put into investors from Mongolia to Montana. And if you believe the Greexit danger is passed, you have another think coming. There is no way in Hell Greeks are tolerant of going infinitely deeper in debt borrowing money to pay for past loans. Hide and watch.

And NINE OUT OF TEN eBay sources for things I buy have disappeared. Wait if you wish then weep. China is SOLE SOURCE for many of our items. They can raise prices three hundred percent and pal you is screwed.

All the things you cite were once MADE IN THE USA but Well. Companies have moved AMERICAN jobs to China at an alarming rate.

Some things are not RETURNING to American Soil. there is, Today, a line of televisions and monitors MADE once again IN THE USA. (element is I believe the brand,, some of them are made in Michigan.. this is good for me).

But a few years ago you could not find a US made TV (I'm speaking of final assembly.. Alas, some of the parts (many of them) still have to be imported)

I know one company which now makes parts IN HOUSE for many of their products because there is no overseas supplier who makes quality parts. (I also have some of their hardware).

We need to bring back more manufacturing to the US.. I mean with not one computer made in the USA what happens if we go to war with the country that makes them and all our war fleet is running on PC's. DEAD IN THE WATER is what happens.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

My rig is 15 yr old so I thought I would keep a spare water pump on hand. This means the original will never go bad.

I didn't know Chinese manufacturing was going to collapse. If the wages get too high they will be adjusted regardless of who objects. That's how it works when the other guy is holding all the ak 47's

You're right. Prime example is the new media. They will whip a dead horse over and over again until a new issue takes precedents and so on and so on.

Folks, remember the US has an election coming up. Every side trys and spends BILLIONS to rig things their way. Meanwhile the economy, trade, supplied and food prices go all over the place, all depending on where the money went yesterday. It happens every 4 or 8 years, so all we can do is ride it out, and hope we don't get scr..ed too bad, this time. those of us that are older, and on fixed middle-low incomes will probably get hit worst. So just bend over...

This makes sense. :E
I wondered how long the cheap stuff would last.

The issue of how a collapse of Chinese manufacturing means the virtual end of most RV accessories and repair parts. Believe it or not refrigerator, hot water heater, and HVAC controls are considered small potatoes, in China's manufacturing hierarchy. Need a converter? need a rooftop air? Can't get it? This explains the reason why. More likely this heralds THE END of the golden age of dirt cheap eBay electronics accessories. if you want it, get it now.

Is there a question here, or just making a rather obtuse statement?
