Just for those who use the digital single-zone Dometic thermostat, and find that it will not turn on the compressor (gives an overtemp error) (especially here in TX with the 110 degree days), here is what I do:
Turn the fan on high. The thermostat will allow the fan to go on, not the compressor.
Open windows and vent fan in bathroom.
Spray it from a couple feet away with canned air. Most brands have a foul-smelling chemical added to keep people from huffing it, thus the ventilation. Close enough to cool it. Make sure to not spray too long, and wear something as insulation to prevent frostbite.
Hold down both the "+" button, press the on/off button, keep both held down for three seconds, until the display shows "--". Push the on/off button again, and the thermostat -should- be able to kick off the compressor.
