EU200i Companion receptacles

I have an EU2000i Companion that I would like to use for regular things like power tools or even a toaster! What type of adapter would I need to plug into the eu2000i companion in order to get 110? Is it even possible?

msiminoff - thanks for the info... I was just looking at the info on the front panel that says 20AMPS for the 20A recetpacle and 26.6AMPS for the twist lock receptacle. There is definitely not 26.6AMPS there unless you are paralleled to another 2KW Generator... Actually without being paralleled there wont be 20AMPS available at the 20Amp receptacle either. Each generator by itself can only produce 13.3AMPS

Both outlets are wired in parallel (with each other and also with the parallel cable banana jacks). The only difference is that the 20A outlet is protected by the circuit breaker, the L5-30P is not. Power is available at all outlets any time one or more of the generators is running.

X2, it's a standard "household" plug to use slang. A couple weeks ago our power was going to be off for about 4 hours due to damaged power lines. My only concern was the food in the fridge. I fired up my old EU2000, ran an extension cord off it and plugged the fridge into for that time.

If it was me i would just pick up one of these multiple 120VAC drop cables and plug this into the 120VAC 20AMP receptacle on the Generator.




I have never played with the companion model but I almost think the twist lock receptacle 26.6A on the generator is not active unless you connect two of these 2KW generator in parallel..

If you need more than the one 20A outlet on the front panel of your Companion, you can pick up a L5-30P to 5-20R receptacle adaptor at your local home improvement store.

You don't need an adapter, just plug the tool into the outlet. You would only need the adaptor to hook up a second generator if the load was over 1600 watts.
