To any of those that have traveled either 80 west to Denver or 70 West to Denver which did you prefer? Pros cons. Will be pulling our 5th. I know that both are very close in distance and time. Just looking for some opinions.

Doesn't seem like either route would be too technically challenging. Perhaps better suited to "Roads & Routes" section?

I've driven I80 basically from Colorado all the way through Iowa. I76 from I80 into Colorado is one of the roughest stretches of interstate I know of. In addition, I80 has TONS of semis. Can make it more difficult to pass.

My only experience is I70 from about Colby, KS to Colorado. Seems to be less traffic, less semis and a smoother ride. That would be my choice.

I've traveled both many times and IMO it's pretty much a tossup. To me it mostly depends on which has had the latest maintenance done. Hopefully you'll get some responses from people that have driven them recently enough to give first hand data on road conditions.

If it were me I'd probably take 74/72 to 36 Hiway across Missouri to I-29. Then decide whether to do I-70 or I-80. If you go across on 36 Hiway you'll avoid St. Louis which is really horrible. Also 36 Hiway is 4 lane almost all the way across the state now.
