Generator Vibration/Noise Isolator----FOLLOW UP...

Follow up on previous post-
Original POst
I purchased these isolators.
Rubber Isolators

My tool box fits inside an angle iron frame.
I put rubber isolators under the tool box. The tool box does fit against the angle iron on the sides (No room for rubber on the sides of the tool box).
Inside the tool box, I have the generators sitting on plywood. I placed rubber isolators under the plywood and bought a rubber mudflap to cut up and place around/inbetween the plywood edges and the tool box. So, the plywood is completely isolated with rubber.

This has helped greatly with the resonating of sound in the rv. It has also cut down vibrations inside the rv.

It didn't completely stop the problem. It's just a lot better. The wife was happy with the improvement.

If I need to do an improvement, I'll add to the angle iron frame so that the tool box sides have nothing to touch.

I hope this is helpful to anyone that is having problems or anyone thinking about building this type of generator setup.

A single layer of plywood makes a great sounding board (think piano). To minimize this, laminate 2 sheets of different thickness together. They resonate at different frequencies and cancel each other out.
RVing since 1995.

Try some of these they work better

These are multi layered and work pretty good
