Help with TPMS Readouts

I bought the EEZ Tire Pressure Monitoring System with 4 sensors in July of 2018. It has always taken around 10 minutes for the display to show all 4 sensor readouts but yesterday it took nearly 45 minutes to get one readout. All 4 readouts were displaying after an hour. It has never taken that long for the system to work before. Once there were readouts, it worked fine but obviously something isn't right. The distance from the monitor to the sensors is no more than 25 feet. What could the problem be? Bad Sensors?, Bad Batteries?, Bad Monitor?

You should have shopped around a bit more. The last time I bought 1632 batteries for my TPMS they were $8 for 10 of them.

You're right but after 2 hours of trying to find them, I wasn't going to spend any more time looking so went with the first Prime option I saw. They're Batteries! It shouldn't be that difficult.

I called EEZ TPMS support today. I was told the reason it took so long to connect to the sensors is because I began driving before the sensors connected to the monitor. I had a lot of RF interference going on is what I was told. Had I waited for connection of all of the sensors before starting on my way, it would have been the usual amount of time. I'm going to replace the batteries anyway so I know they're fresh. Thought I would share this info in case someone else has an issue in the future.

That makes sense. I have the TST system and if I start the truck up and take off before the sensors come on line, they take longer to show up.

I have seens sensors suddenly pop a real strange readign then return to normal as a semi passed me..

Theory.> Same frequency sensors (Likely same make and ESN there are only so many ESNs (Electronic serial number)

YOu may have been near another user of the same system.

I also put out between 0.030 watts (As I type) and 100 watts on assorted frequencies depending on which of my 2-way radios is live at the moment. Some of these can take out your TPMS I suspect... (Lack of proper selectivity in teh tpms with the power levels I use in that range (0.03 to 0.1 watt)
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

after a semi "nicked" it. Still have the radios

I ordered 4 batteries from Amazon for $10.20 I spent the better part of 2 hours driving around from store to store trying to find CR1632 batteries. Even my local Walmart that I hate going to doesn't carry that size.

I change the batteries in our 10 TST sensors annually. At ~75-85 cents each it's cheap insurance.

There's no guarantee they come new with fresh batteries. When I started having trouble I installed the repeater on the 5er, but I think all I needed was new batteries.
