Holiday Rambler passcode

We bought a 1993 Holiday Rambler Navigator last fall. I would love to use the keyless lock. The owners manual states to reset the code I need a factory code. Since Holiday Rambler has gone through several owner since 1993 there seems to be nobody on the manufacturer side that cares. Anyone have an idea on how to find this code?

First, you need to identify your system. Mine is an ESSEX, KE-1704. Removing the keypad should give you either a model and/or serial number stamped into the plastic housing. From there you can trace backwards to find out how to reprogram your system. If it's an ESSEX, they are located in Carpinteria California. Phone number is 1-800-KEYLESS....our coach has a hollow armrest on the passenger side. Removing the cup holder accesses this armrest which contains the 'secret' red button. Obviously, yours is different but that button should be with two feet of the keypad. Think of it as an easter egg hunt......Dennis

If you want to simply try reprogramming...try entering 1-3-5-7-9. That's the master code, but you'll still have to find that missing red button.....Dennis

OH! and a word of caution! When you start fiddling with the keypad etc. make sure you have a window OPEN and/or your keys in your HAND..or BOTH....:B....Dennis

Here's the directions from ESSEX, if that's what you have...D

How to change the Master User Code
A.Locate and press the System Programming Switch
4 Rapid Beeps will sound and you will have 2 minutes
to start programming the system.

B. Enter 1 1 1 9 on the keypad
3 Rapid Beeps will sound

C. Within 5 seconds of the 3 Rapid Beeps enter your
new 3 to 8 digit Master User Code. Now wait 5 seconds and listen for 3 Rapid Beeps.

Youโ€™re done! Try the new Master User Code and the door will
unlock. If it doesn't, please read the following paragraph
to see if you made an error or skipped a step while
programming.

Note: When using or programming your system you must
make each keystroke within 5 seconds of the
previous keystroke or the system will timeout and re
set to normal operation. 2 Rapid Beeps signal system
reset. If the system resets before you have completed
changing the Master User Code, you must start over
by pressing the System Programming Switch. 1
Long Beep signals an error has been made during the
programming sequence. Don't worry. Start over
by pressing the System Programming Switch

I removed the cup holder and there is no compartment with a button behind mine. That must have been new for 1994.

Thanks anyway!

(This from a 1994 Holiday Rambler.) Remove the passenger side cup holder. In that compartment is a small button switch. Push and hold that button for 10 seconds. Within 5 seconds, push your desired code. The switch will flash twice to let you know the code has been accepted. Default to lock is 555. Default to lock door and compartments is 559. Good luck.

Thanks.. I tried those codes to no avail. If anyone has some older info closer to 1993 I would appreciate it.

But thanks for trying.
