Was working on my Honda generators and was just wondering how many hours one can get from these gensets. Who has the most hours on their Honda?

Thanks

I have no idea how many hours I have on my EU2000 but it's been used a lot for the last 9 years and still works like new.

No idea of hours other than a lot. EU2000I is 12 years old we dry camp and all season, 3 weeks then home for 5 days and back out again. I only use the Onan 5500
if we have to run ac. The 2000 runs everything else including the microwave/oven. I change oil every third week and at the 10 year mark I changed spark plug. It still starts on the first pull. It's not often you find this kind of quality today.

Have an eu3000 i bought used in oct 09.Still runs strong. As for hours i have no idea but do quite a bit of trips to glamis during winter where it prob runs atleast 10 hours for the weekend, and the weeklong trip it prob gets atleast 30 hours put on it.

I also use it for summer trips too to other places. My guess is atleast a 100 for glamis trips and prob atleast another 100 for other trips i do.

When this one does go i will replace it with another 3000.

I have a Honda 500 that I bought in April, 1985. It is still running good. I never subject it to direct rain. I always find a place to tuck in it under cover and place it on a board, never directly on the ground. There is no hour meter on it so I have no idea how many hours are on it.

I also have a 2000 that I bought in July 2005. It is running good also. Again, I always tuck it in some area out of direct rain and I always put a plywood board under it so it doesn't set directly on the ground. This one doesn't have an hour meter either.

After 10 years on one and 6 on another, I have yet to work on them! I have no idea who has the most.

I have an old Honda 650 watt genset that's still running strong. JUST enough juice to satisfy my converter IF the 4 6-volts are not lower that 80% SOC.

I also have a EU1000 that's giving me fits. I have had that bastage torn down about 4 times & still can't keep it running.

hard to say - I don't have a hour meter associated with mine. It was purchased in July of 2008... Probably 30 or so camping trips where it would have been for three hours aday - most camping trips are over a weekend but a few have been 10-12 days long.

Several short runs around the house for things... A couple of full time runs for a full week one time and three days another time when the hurricanes came thru the county.
