Jackhammering water pump

The Shurflo model 2088 water pump in my 2003 Tioga 23e is extremely loud. The installation manual recommends at least 1ft. of flexible high-pressure tubing to both ports and the pumps ports/strainer should not be connected to plastic or rigid pipe. So opened up the bathroom cabinet and found that Fleetwood ignored both of these suggestions. I want to install the flexible tubing. The problem is I've never seen the type of connectors used in this plumbing. See the picture linked below. How do those blue connectors work? I would like to come straight out of both sides of the pump with at least 12" of tubing as suggested. Ex. On the inlet side I would like to remove the two 90 degree elbows and put a loop from the pump to the blue connector. How do I transition from the flexible tubing to the rigid plastic stuff with the blue connectors?

Make sure you put parts of a foam noddle between hard lines and the floor,I used 24" long flexible water lines on both sides of the pump and mounted the pump up off the floor with soft rubber feet,no screws into floor, glued to the rubber.

Our pump does the same thing up until we rid the inlet filter of any air AND that is not as simple as it sounds on our unit. I would not waste the time and effort of replumbing as you plan unless it includes a means of passing the air in the filter through the pump quickly. In order to make that happen the pump would need to mount on a vertical surface (ie rotate 90 degrees) with the inlet filter on the bottom. JMO.

Not true. This pump can be mounted in any position.

The flex hose only needs to be on the outlet side because the noise comes from the pulsating pressure. Has nothing to do with air.

And definitely insert the flex hose if possible.. don't mess with ridgid connections. Most every plumbing job I've done I've inserted flex hose when I need more length and it works just fine.

Well I think I see a simple solution - but it relies on being able to rotate the pex fittings. Shurflo sells a silencing kit (pic below). If I can disconnect from the pump by loosening the white nuts, will I be able to rotate the pex fittings out of the way without compromising the connections? Then I would be able to install the flexible hoses.

The rigid "stuff" is just 1/2-inch PEX so the easiest way to connect are SharkBite fittings.

I have never seen those types of fittings either. Also, the pump should have a rubber washer's between the pump and floor at all 4 anchor points.

Quote this post to see how to use the height parameter. Then edit your post and make the pic smaller.
