Does anyone know if I can screw off my existing long gray handle valve and put it on the new one because I have to change my gray valve and it in the middle of the 5th wheel?

The rods already exist, I was just double checking if I would be able to screw my rod into the gray gate valve. Sound like I can.

On our Jayco 5th W, the tank valve handle is attached with 2 sections of aluminum rod that screw together and then onto the valve. One reaches from one side of the camper to the other, ~6 or 7 feet.

I have to remove the bottom cover to get to the rod and valve if necessary, but it isn't that big of a project

Mine is definitely not the cable one.

Yes, you can, as long as it is a solid handle, as stated above.

There's two different kinds of slide valves. Depending upon which one is on your camper will determine how you replace it.

Some have the handle connected directly to the slide valve. These handles are usually threaded and can just be screwed on and off.

The other uses a cable. These just have be replaced.
