Montana Axles

I purchased a 2017 Montana 3000RE on 3/10/2017. I took the rig to an axle shop to inspect the axle alignment and the alignment of the axles to the king pin. I was informed that the axles had significant alignment issues and that I needed to take the rig back to the dealer for repair so that any warranties would not be voided.
When I returned the rig to the dealer I gave them a copy of the report and it was provided to Keystone. Keystone instructed the dealer to take measurements which was done with a tape measure and the axle shop used more precise tools and used a lazer to get measurements from the king pin to the axles (I think that is the Z measurement).
Keystone is not allowing the repair because the dealer's service department's measures are more acceptable. Keystone is willing to send 2 axles to the dealer to install and send the existing axles back to Keystone for review. If they decide that there is nothing wrong with the axles they want me to pay for the axles. I have not been able to use the trailer since I purchased it and I have made one payment. It does not seem that Keystone wants to blame the problem on Dexter the axle fabricator, Lippert, and the transporter. Any advice out there from others that may have had the same problem.

What was the issue that made you take it in?

I had serious alignment issues with Lippert axles on a Grand Design fifth wheel. One axle came from the factory with a bent spindle and wore out a tire in less than 7,000 miles. After going back and forth and not getting any satisfaction, I replaced the 100-year-old suspension technology with the MOR/ryde independent suspension system and disc brakes. Couldn't be happier.

PS - the Forum Technical Support is for web site/forum support issues - not technical issues with rigs, etc.

If they make a final denial have it fixed and take them all to small claims court. It will be a battle of the experts....pick your expert carefully. Then subpoena a bunch of them as adverse witnesses. I'll wager they roll over once they see you are serious.
