New 6 volt AGM Batteries

Now after 3 seasons I've replaced my original 24 group 12 volt battery with 2-6 volt AGM (Duracell Platinum) 409 Ah. I'm setting up to do some off-grid camping now that I've gotten used to the full-hookup variety.

My trailer sits in my driveway, and given our cold winters I have taken the battery out each year and put in my basement when the weather gets real cold. I was wondering if this is necessary with AGM's?

I can keep my trailer hooked up 24/7 so the batteries stay topped off.

I saw the same 409 minutes at 25 amps and assumed they are the same internally.

Thanks for this, although this is why I get confused researching the batteries! Looks like mine as a different (new/old) label, but seems to be the same, except for the word "platinum" which I'm thinking is hyperbole!

Do ya need to tie a string to 'em to keep 'em from floating straight up?

NOTICE: Contents may settle during shipping. We no comprende conveyor belt vibrator. That's why when you rip the box open, it's a quarter the way filled.

DON'T RAISE THE PRICE! Get smart. Reduce the size of the product which reduces shipping costs.

THEY CAN'T THINK TO DILUTE. Offer ten percent anti-freeze and ship distilled water 3/4 the way across the country AND CHARGE THEM FOR IT. The jug is the same color dummy. 190 CCA? I'd love to have at those batteries for 15-seconds with a 500 amp adjustable carbon pile load tester. Someone was on drugs when they came up with that label.

Idiocy! The CCA label rating means at 50% CCA loading the battery should not fall below 4.8 volts after 15 seconds. 9.6 volts, in series with a 95-amp load?

Told ya, drugs are saturating our society. The Fall Of The Roman Empire second edition.

I think the sticker be wrong on CCA, 190 ah each or 190 ah as a 12v
CCA of 680, 70 lbs each.

Sorry, I didn't quote the number correctly. I should have said 409 min @ 25 amps. I do get confused when doing the research on all these batteries, and the things quoted by each manufacturer. You could be close with the weight. I'd say between 60-70lbs!

For comparisons, most use the Amp Hour rate at 20 hr. Is this the battery you have? If so, the 20 hour rating is 190 AH. The weight is 70 lbs.

Since AGM batteries discharge very slow, especially in Winter conditions, disconnecting one of the terminal connections is the easiest storage solution.

Most of these batteries are specced quite similar.

No. And it wasn't necessary with the other ones either.
A fully charged wet cell battery doesn't freeze until about -70 F.

Wrong again!! AGM batteries that are fully charged do not freeze until -85 F.
