I can't find any info if honda has started selling the 2200 again, anyone? I see some for sale on cl and fleabay, but I assume those are probably recall.
The recall involves variations of the EU2200i of specific serial numbers so any with a serial number outside that range would not be subject to the recall.

I went with Westinghouse 2500. Haven't used it yet, but it does have great reviews.

Also ... note it's specified noise range of 57 dBA up to a maximum of 65 dBA ... while the Honda EU2200i's noise spec ends at a full power noise level of 57 dBA. That's quite a difference between the two generators.
Doesn't the Yamaha cost about the same as the Honda?

Anyone have one of these yet? Tired of lugging the 3200w around, might give one of these a try.
Yamaha
Has the same size 79 cc as the 2K version, the Honda EU2200i has a MUCH larger 121 cc engine. Personally I'd take red over blue. ๐
Note too that the Honda 2200 series has a commercial grade engine with a longer warranty, whereas the previous Honda 2000 did not..This, without a price increase caused me to trade up...
Commercial grade engine sounds like advertising fooey to me.
