No hot water

I have never used my hot water heater on my 199 Rockwood Ultralite. (I'll be honest, am not even sure where it is.)

Cold water comes through the hot water taps no matter how long I run it for.

So, where is it? How do I get it going?

Previous owner bypassed the water heater when they winterized it and you never UNbypassed it?

Don't turn it on until you are sure you have it filed with water. Being a cold weather region it is probably "bypassed" for winterization as Old Bisquit said. Find a You Tube video about it. You need to un-bypass it and get water in the tank. If you don't know how to ignite it have someone show you. Again, I'm sure there are you tube videos.

Go outside
Look on exterior of rig for a cover with slots in the upper right hand corner
Open cover..you have a Suburban Water heater

Now go inside
Look directly opposite of where you found outside cover
Open cabinet/drawers etc...that will be the backside of water heater tank

Cold water inlet (bottom line/fitting on tank)
Bypass.connects cold water line with hot water line (needs to be closed---cold water going into bottom of tank)

Open faucet hotside until all air is expelled
Turn on water heater
(propane valved in service...ON/Off Switch with light----turn it on. Going to take several tries until propane flows to water heater gas valve)

How long have you had this 1998 vintage trailer?
Haven't you been the least bit curious what is in those covers on exterior, looked inside the cabinets etc ?

Just looking around will give you a better understanding of what/where.

I have had it since last fall. I have been curious, but I also don't wwant to break it.
