OXYMORON "The Best CHEAP Tires For Toad?

It's light. I drive like an 80-year old grandma. I perform armed robbery on my piggy bank regularly. I don't need much - just the impossible. Long wearing 195X70X14" toad tires for less than 65 USA dollars each mounted and balanced, tax, the works.

The pair of high-class Douglas brand tires I got at Wally-Mart surely are not the best I can do here are they? 90,000 mile treadlife warranty Michelins are 104 dollars plus 15 dollars then 8% sales tax. Maybe a hundred thirty a pop. Beyond reach.

Tire prices down here are totally insane.

Maybe order them online from TireRack.com or one of the other discount online tire sellers? The shipping should only be about... $15 per tire. :W

15 bux a tire for shipping :E If Mex is in Mex, the shipping there would have him in cardiac arrest

If I recall correctly, he has somewhere on the US side he routinely has items shipped to.

I would hunt down a nice set of take offs in SD craigslist. Example: Tires
04.5 GMC 2500HD D/A
06 38 CKS Dune Chaser
Chenowth 4-seat 3.5 honda
15 maverick xds

Walk into a tire store and they sock a customer fifteen dollars a tire California tire disposal fee, even though I intend to take the tires out of the country to be mounted. Fifteen dollars a tire? Not one freakin' cent of that fee is used to dispose of tires. It all goes into the general fund. They should grind the tires up into powder and use it as an additive to roadway slurry coatings. Give it away as the fifteen dollars would certainly pay for the process and transport.

Oh wait. Can't do that! That would make "sense", and "sense" is toxic to government.

Buy in AZ instead, and have shipped to San Diego. Then have them installed at a Walmart in SD.

Hey, you want the tire? Then pay the 15 bux. The last time I bought tires, the disposal fee was 5 bux.

Yes, but my fifteen dollars per tire is not part of the process. I expect them the government to add fifteen dollars to the price of a battery to deal with

"Lead Environment Issues"

followed by

"Lithium Environment Issues"

followed by

"Petroleum Environment Issues"

On my income take ANYTHING, anything at all, and multiply its price by 400% for an average wage earner's annual income. That's the income versus price index I am forced to deal with. A 400 dollar car-jar deep cycle battery? 800 dollar RV tire? Eight dollar loaf of bread? My griping is not entirely because I am a cheapskate. So forgive me.
