Problem with Rogue MPT-3024

Worked fine for 8 or 9 years and now at sunny mid-day it won't come out of sleep mode. It is receiving 19+ V from the panels, occasionally wakes up and runs its PV analysis but once complete instantly goes back to sleep mode. Pulled the unit and cleaned all the contacts and when connected back up it initially entered charge mode but then went into sleep again. Batteries at 12.7.

Rogue Power Technologies is not around anymore.

Thought I'd check here for comments before plunking down some bucks for a Vectron or MorningStar.

Hi,

I would add Outback controllers to your short list of possible replacements.

Seeing as the input voltage is only 19, you may wish to consider the fully featured Grape PWM controller available at Home Depot. Grape also has an MPPT unit.

Eight or nine years of good service bumping around in an RV seems pretty good to me.
