Gotta give a good shout out to Progressive Industries. I have been using their EMSPT50C surge protector for several years now. For some reason it failed during our last camping trip. Called them and reported the problem. Sent them a few pics of the unit. They sent me a brand new unit as a replacement. These things have a lifetime warranty. Can't beat that!! I recommend Progressive Industries to all.

I started with a PT50C 8 years ago and bought another one to use as a spare after I asked myself what would protect me if the primary unit had to go back for service. During the years both sacrificed themselves for my rig and were both replaced with the PT50X which I have and use every day now. And I still have two of them so I always have a spare to use if/when the primary one dies in service to me.

I will absolutely NEVER plug anywhere anytime without my PT50X including my home base where I have been protected from a failed power company transformer that was putting out 132v+ and another time a high voltage spike every morning about 5:00am.

You aren't safe anywhere without your PT50X.
