If your battery wiring followed the standard RV wiring code then BLACK CABLES are POSITIVE +12VDC and WHITE CABLES are NEGATIVE -12VDC.
Some relays are sometimes installed near the battery terminals that controls things like the trailer slide outs, power jacks, roof raise motor in my case, etc. If the theifs are in a hurry those RELAY/CIRCUIT BREAKERs are probably still connected to the battery terminals and will need replaced by you as well...
Just having cut cable ends near your battery installation may need professional help from the local RV place to figure out what is missing.
If you are in a crime zone area a better battery installation in a steel locked metal battery tool box style may be needed. My area where my trailers are parked here at the house have motion detector lights around the area. Both my batteries and the Propane tanks are under locks... All of this wont keep them 100% safe but anything you can come up with to make it more difficult will help out big time. They want easy targets along with quick getaways... Their tool bag includes heavy duty cable cutters and dremel cutting tools... Hard to guard against those two items...
Batteries and Propane are big thief tickets around here...
