I have tried finding out this info on my own, but, still am unsure.

I am getting a new to the market A/C. It's much smaller than your average window a/c's. It comes out next year. I will post a link to it. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kurt/noria-cool-redefined

I am hoping to stay with a 2000W and only need the one. I am also looking to get the Predator 2000 but am open to getting the Honda 2200i if need be.

The last thing I want is to get a 3500 or to double the 2000's. Too heavy and too much room on both of those options. But, I know it is what it is.

Here are the specs from the a/c company, (they never gave me the start up wattage, I have since emailed and asked):

The Kapsul W5 is a 480 W, 110-120 V AC appliance which will draw 4.5 amps in normal use. However, it will briefly draw much larger current when the compressor starts so, we recommend a minimum 2-kilowatt (2,000 W) inverter when using solar or DC power supplies.

This was also on a separate page: Approximately 460-480 watts, for an EER we estimate to be 10.4 to 10.8. The unit will draw approximately 4 amps during operation.

I am still unsure if a 2000 inverter will run this? Yes, I know a 3500 will, but, two shoulder surgeries later, they are just plain heavy.

I am considering the Predator over the Honda at this point because of the price.

Do I have enough info here to find out if a 2000 will work? Thank you.

The area it will cool is the inside tack area, (my "bedroom") of a horse trailer.

Approx 72"x 80" It's pretty small. Even if I wanted to do the whole trailer, front of the tack room and two stalls the whole thing is 72 inches wide by 15 feet long.

But, I only want to do my "bedroom".

Edited to add, this was a Kickstarter item. It's been delayed two years. They are saying it should be shipped out spring of 2019.

Scroll down to Specifications and it says 5000 BTU.

It also shows under the 'pledges' that the estimated delivery is March 2017.
The OP said it comes out next year.:?

How big of an RV are you trying to cool? Anything more than a small pickup camper and it likely won't putout enough cooling.

It should work, but I don't think anyone here could guarantee that.

I'm with soundguy... I don't know what you're cooling, but it's not going to cool much.

BTUs are the important stat for air conditioners. A normal rv a/c is 13500 BTU or 15000 BTU. Yes power draw is important but not providing enough cooling power is more so. I looked at the jump starter page and saw NO mention of BTU capacity of the unit, rather suspicious if you ask me. Maybe I overlooked it. Look at a/c units on Amazon that is always mentioned at the top of any description.

I suggest that you look at the Champion 3500/4000 DIGITAL inverter gen, about $600 and probably doesn't weigh much more than that Honda 2K. We have one, it's quiet, starts on the first pull and cheap compared to Honda/Yamaha.

Sure it would start & run this A/C but it's rated at only 5000 BTU - considering most RV A/C units are 13,500 BTU what good is that? :h
