Thetford aurora toilet leaks at base

The leak is clean water. This is a foot pedal flush unit and connections at top/back of the unit are dry. Based on exploded diagram and some time on Google, I am assuming the problem is likely the inlet valve. Had different issues with another model in a TT we owned many years ago and decided it made more sense to drop in a new unit vs cost of repair in parts and time. This model is no longer available, and from what I have seen online, I am not excited about the apparent replacement options. Can anyone tell me:
1) if there is a DIRECT replacement unit (floor bolts line up, hoses will reach connections, etc), from ANY manufacturer, that is NOT porcelain, that DOES have a pipe connecting the bowl to the opening into the blackwater and that preferably has a foot pedal flush?
2) if they have successfully rebuilt one of these units? If I am going to pull the unit to replace the inlet valve, I'm going to go ahead and replace all seals and the vacuum breaker as well. If this is one of those things that never works the same once you take it apart, or there are any special 'tricks' to doing it right, I'd prefer not to find out the hard way!
3) if it is possible for a vacuum breaker to fail in such a way that it continually siphons fresh water from the onboard supply?

I just replaced my vac breaker cus it was spraying water out the top.

Direct replacement (water supply will need modified regardless of toilet)

Thetford Aqua Magic Residential, Style II and Style Plus which means Dometic/Sealand 300/310/320 Series will also work

Vacuum breakers can easily leak..they just use a flapper that closes hole in top when water pressure is present then when water pressure drops off the flapper is no longer held closed and air gets pulled in.
IF flapper fails to close water leaks out top of vacuum breaker.

Clean water puddle can be from vac breaker, water supply cartridge, hose clamp.
Place toilet paper around suspected components and see which one ends up being a wad of wet TP

When mine did that, it was a loose hose clamp between the spray hose and the main feed to the toilet.
