Water pump pressure switch Q.

It should shut the pump off after I've shut the faucet off, as I understand. I think mine isn't working. Doesn't bother me much, as I'm always nearby and can flip the pump switch after I'm done.

Just curious. Waited a minute after shutting faucet off - pump still running. Didn't want to test it longer and overheat the pump. Model Flojet 03526144, flow 2.9 GPM, and in specs there is "pressure switch max 50 PSI".

Air in the line - possibly. Will check.

Did you pick up some air in the lines somehow? My pump won't shut off until the air is gone. Run all faucets and see if that helps.

A literal minute? Mine loads up and shuts off in 2-4 seconds. Same with the horse trailer LQ.

Could mean that there is a break or small leak
somewhere in the system and it's not pressurizing.

How long did you wait after you closed the faucet?

It might take a minute or so to re-pressurize before the pump shuts itself off IF the system doesn't have a leak or if another faucet isn't open.
