Weber Q on Aux LP

I have an auxiliary LP hose for a gas grill. The grill that came with the camper is of poor quality. I want to use an older Weber Q (smallest one without side tables). Is it as simple as removing the LP regulator from the grill and installing a quick connect fitting to fit the auxiliary LP hose?

Yes it is that simple. There is a member of the forum that posted some excellent pictures of how he modified his Webber. I can't find the thread ... ๐Ÿ˜ž

I converted mine Q1200 to feed off the 20# tanks and it's very easy.

Question; where is the control knob for the grill? If it is built in with the regulator, all I can say is good luck with your project.

I haven't run one on my TC, but others on the forum have said they used the grill regulator fed from the RV regulated connection and it worked fine. You don't have to remove it. All they bought was an adapter for the quick disconnect on the RV.

That allowed them to move between the RV supply and an unregulated bottle supply without changing the hose.

I didn't find the posts concerning the subject.

Need to use Q grill on high pressure side of tank. The Q already has a regulator. I bought an adapter at Amazon to put on trailer tank and connect a 12'hose. If you find a way to by pass the Q regulator that may work with trailer regulated propane.

Yeah, but since I have the auxiliary hose that is on the regulated side, It would be much more convenient just to use that. Thanks for the reply.

I have a Q100. I unscrewed the mini bottle and attached it to a 20 lb tank via one of the common adapter hoses (available at WM and all over).
