Winterizing Ice Maker

I have a house type refrigerator with ice maker in my trailer. What is the best way to winterize the ice maker? I could pull the refrigerator away from the wall and disconnect the water line going up to the ice maker. Is there an easier way. I really don't want to run pink antifreeze through the ice maker.

Two best ways

one.. Disconnect water line before solenoid and force cycle ice maker. Gravity will suck most of the water out.. Paranoid. wait an hour and force cycle it again.

Two, Hook up an air compressor (Set to 50 PSI via a regulator) and force cycle it.

Option 1B.. Open low point drains, Force cycle, then close valve to Ice Maker.

And that's how I did it
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

Thank you for the replies. The ice maker is nice to have in the summer but an extra thing to winterize in the fall. LOL

Disconnecting and draining the water line & solenoid on the rear of the fridge is one way, putting RV anti-freeze through it is the other choice.

I run the A/F through the icemaker in my residential fridge. No Problems. In the spring hook up water, flush it all out, then let the ice maker make several batches of ICE, and throw it out.

My motto, better safe than sorry!
