What did you do to your truck today?

I love cruising through the "what did you do to your camper today" thread, I figured I'd add a "what did you do to your truck today".

I'm sure that many of you are like me....and your truck that you use to haul your camper gets a lot of special attention to make sure it's in tip-top shape for your adventures.

I'll start out.....

Today I mounted 2 PIAA 520 Fog lights and 2 PIAA Driving lights to my winch bumper, and aimed them.

This evening, I received a box containing torklift stableload bumpstops. Those will have to wait for another day....we've got a blizzard going on here.

I have a rather large ongoing project to do. I'm going to custom build a Class 5 receiver for the front of my F350. There is no receiver made that will fit because my entire front suspension is modified from the spring mounts down.

Going to fabricate a front receiver and spare tire mount and mount my spare on the front and get it out from the underside rear of the truck. That mount is a PITA to get to, been there, did that last year with a failed valve stem on the side of the e-way. Never again. Out front on a nice mirror polished aluminum rim for me.

Was it booted or plugged? Plugs have a bad habit of becoming unplugged.

After thirteen years I replaced my KC Daylighters with a 20in Rough Country LED light bar. What a difference, I'm gonna love these on the back roads of WY and MT

Replaced auto hubs with manual locking after almost getting stuck a couple weekends ago. One side was locking while other wasn't. Cra-ppy ESOF. Not spending the time or money to track vacuum leaks and replace parts. Ridiculously complicated and expensive system.
I now have 2 low which isn't an option WITH auto locking hubs.

In the middle of replacing a badly worn drag link joint. Steering has gotten pretty loose in recent and wanders a lot. No wonder. The joint just flops around.

New one.

Installed a new set of Mile Marker lockout hubs. The outer dial on my Warn hubs cracked and I found out the hard way that Warn will not supply replacement parts without the original receipt. I bought them 13 years ago, who keeps a receipt 13 years.

I'm done with Warn.

Changed my winter wheels for summer ones, using on board air to make it easier. Here is a video of the process.

I put a new Amsoil 4510 air filter on the truck and the new Vision HH wheels with Continental HDR tires.

But, it will now stop. Better than not stopping. I realize that disc brakes on the back are better than drums, but, I prefer drums because disc brake calipers in the rear tend to seize on the slide pins.

Got mine out yesterday, gave it a bath and installed new Mile Marker lock out hubs on the front axle. My Warn's were getting ratty and Warn don't sell replacement parts.

This is what it looks like with all new brakes and seals...

Makes me want to cry! Uh, well, because of the money I spent... And it's so beautiful!

I changed the oil and filter, checked all the fluid levels and tire pressure.

I also changed the oil and filters and changed the rear diff fluid on my ATV.

And packed the wheel bearings on my ATV trailer.

And Thursday I'm headed out for a 2000 mile road trip. ๐Ÿ™‚

I did that ONE TIME. Corralled a Snap-On truck because I needed a 12 volt test light. Sorry I did. Cost me 84 bucks and I paid for the Snap-On name though the box said it was 'Hencho Mexico'....

Not good.

...and I did NOTHING to my truck except start it every week and warm it up. Sitting in the barn where it sits every winter. Never been in a Michigan snow since new.
