2015 Prime Time Tracer Air 250 Reviews or comparable TT

Based on our required TT weight limit of 5000lbs or less, we have been looking at the Tracer Air 250. This TT is short in height for my husband (6'3"), but we can make it work. We love the corner oversized bunk beds for our 2 6 year olds and the second entrance to the bathroom, but we would prefer having the kitchen on the opposite side of the beds/sofa if possible.

Any reviews on the Tracer Air or other similar sized TT?

yes, you did post that earlier and we looked it up and liked it a lot! unfortunately, we couldn't find it being sold anywhere outside of CA. being in Atlanta, we have limited option with Jayco.

I know I posted this before on one of your threads, but have you looked at a Jayco 23MB. Dry weight is 4200 lbs. It has the oversized bunks in the back. In the front is a murphy bed that folds out over the top of the couch at night. Literally can be done with one hand. As a starter camper it is a solid unit and was on my short list for our first purchase this past fall.

1. It's fine to ask for opinions, but realize they are JUST THAT and you need to take all of them with a good dose of salt and do your own independent research.

2. IMO forcing a time limit on deciding on a trailer is a sure fire way to end up with the WRONG TRAILER.

3. Personally I would want to keep the trailer at 6K or under and based on that would want to keep the brochure "dry weight" at 4500lbs or less.

Looked at a 2015 Starcraft Launch 26bhs today... could be an option for us too. Need to make a decision this week between this one or the Tracer Air 250. Thoughts on Starcraft brand?

I really liked the AIR250 when looking at campers. Only exception was the low cargo capacity. We are still shopping for a new tow vehicle, and we are thinking of getting a bigger tv than we first planned.

Take a look at the Lance 2185. Has 3 bunks, Sleeps 7, interior height 78", GVWR 6000 lbs., wet weight 4,210 lbs.

Thanks. Correct, my tow rating on this 2008 yukon denali xl is 8000lbs. From my calculations, a 6000lb TT would be pushing 7500lbs or so and that just isn't at the level of comfort we are looking for. We would rather be safe on the towing side of things. A 5000lb dry weight TT seems like it would fit nicely and we shouldn't have to stress much about the weight as long as we are reasonable in our packing. We don't plan on packing much more than we did when we tent camped...minus the 8 man sized tent of course. I'm still interested in hearing from others on which 5000lb TT they would recommend and why. Very useful information here.

Seeing your past posts now, I think this trailer will be fine with your Denali. Thought your tow rsting was 5000lbs. Seeing you have an 8000lb rating, this 6000lb trailer loaded should be fine.

I was looking at the 250Air. I still like it. But it is a 6000lb trailer. Out of the factory, it is just over 5000lbs. Loaded up, it will easily be 6000lbs with about 700lbs of tongue.

One local dealer at the show had a picture that says "I can tow this", showing a Jeep Liberty (which I have). I laughed. Yeah, maybe empty!!
