ok have been searching the forum with no luck so figured I would just post. Battery connections on the outside of Palomino truck campers (and probably a few others they make). Not reading any voltage from it? what am I missing. Or is it just there to look pretty? There is another solar connection right below. They did hook that one up to the battery. I can not find any 'taped' off wires in the battery box that may be coming from the outside posts.

I do like it so far, going out this weekend for the first time in it. I was also looking at the 1251 but did not want it to extend past my 8' bed. the one I got was the SS-1200. Already had helper springs and air bags on my truck, the helper springs kept it level, did not even inflate the bags beyond 15 lbs. I called the dealer wanting to ask about the other charge ports on the outside and also the low point tank drain does not seem to drain anything. They never called me back. Looks like I can remove a drawer inside and probably see where the wires go, my guess it that they are not connected to anything.

I won't be much help. The one I was looking out had one set on the outside to hook up a portable solar charger system. Not sure what you would need two sets for. I did read that they come with a exterior battery charging port but I assumed that would be the same posts as the solar prep.

Not to hijack but are you happy with the Palomino? I have been looking at the 1251's and they seem like a good bang for the buck.
